Pow­ell Relo­ca­tion Group offers clean, secure, and cli­mate-con­trolled stor­age space for local or long-dis­tance moves. Our Grand Rapids and Hous­ton stor­age ware­hous­es are fire pro­tect­ed, and your house­hold goods will be guard­ed by elec­tron­ic security. 

If you need time before mov­ing your belong­ings into your new home, let us know you need stor­age-in-tran­sit when mov­ing with Pow­ell. After your goods are packed and loaded, they will be trans­port­ed to a secure stor­age facil­i­ty that is a proven part­ner in our net­work. We will iden­ti­fy that loca­tion for you. Depend­ing on the loca­tion that is best for your move, our Grand Rapids or Hous­ton stor­age facil­i­ties may be used. In any event, your goods are kept safe until you’re ready for them to be deliv­ered to your new address.

Clean Cargo Program

Pow­ell Relo­ca­tion Group and Walk­er Trans­fer-Pow­ell are proud to have spe­cial­ly trained dogs that can detect bed bugs. Through our Clean Car­go Pro­gram, our dogs search lock­ers, box­es, lug­gage, mov­ing pads, trail­ers, and ware­hous­es. When using our ser­vices, cus­tomers can feel con­fi­dent that their ship­ments are free of bed bugs.

Pow­ell care­ful­ly tracks your items upon arrival using our bar cod­ed inven­to­ry man­age­ment sys­tem. We note the loca­tion and depar­ture of your items, and can pull them quick­ly from stor­age, pro­vide elec­tron­ic inven­to­ry sta­tus, or allow you to track your inven­to­ry online using our web portal.
